This Is What I Eat, Santa Fe
This is What I Eat, Santa Fe, 2014
How does food transform from something mass produced to something personal? What do our plates look when we all eat the same food from the cafeteria? What can a plate of food tell us about the person eating it?
This Is What I Eat, Santa Fe, displays my images of meals eaten from start to finish inside the Santa Fe University of Art and Design cafeteria. These images are hung on supermarket circulars and posters collected in Santa Fe and New York City. This Is What I Eat Santa Fe is third in a series of murals tilted This Is What I Eat beginning in 2007.
This Is What I Eat, Santa Fe was installed in July 2014 when I was an artist in residence at Santa Fe Art Institute as part of the Food Justice residency, which encourages creative minds to come together and examine the territory of food justice.
